From Cabaret to Millinery

Nara is a skilled milliner based in Smithfield, Dublin, who completed her highly respected HNC course in millinery at Kensington and Chelsea College in 2021. Prior to pursuing a career in hat-making, Nara worked as a cabaret singer, travelling the world and wearing glamorous clothes and hats for her performances.

Nara's passion for hat-making began around ten years ago when she trained with Pauline Millar at Walthamstow College. When the events of 2020 disrupted her performance career, Nara returned to her love of hat-making and enrolled in the HNC course.

Since beginning her millinery training, Nara has accomplished numerous achievements. She was awarded the 'Most innovative use of felt' by the Feltmakers Guild, sold her hats at Fenwick department store, displayed her creations at Ascot’s Ladies Day, featured in several hat magazines, and even created headpieces for an opera production.
